Test Preparation Guide |
Preparing for your test
Please consult the chart to determine the preparation required for your test. If you have any question about these instructions be sure to consult with your doctor prior to your scheduled test date.

Low residue diet for 48 hours. Obtain a Fleet Prep Kit #1 from any pharmacy and follow directions. |
Ultrasound of the Pelvis or Bladder |
Drink four 8-ounce glasses of water or juice an hour before the appointment time. Patient should be done drinking an hour before the exam to allow bladder time to fill. |
Ultrasound of the abdomen |
No food or drink for 6 hours prior to exam |
Mammogram |
Wear comfortable, two-piece clothing. Do not wear jewelry, powder, deodorant or lotion on the upper body. Patient should bring in previous mammograms for comparison. |
