Family Medicine
The Family Physicians of High Mountain Health develop a comprehensive understanding of their patients, their family histories and their life circumstances that affect their health – physically, mentally and emotionally. They listen to their patients, get to know them personally and help them make the right healthcare decisions. The trust that develops from this caring relationship lasts a lifetime. High Mountain Health Dr. Kowalski

The practice of Family Medicine is built upon a body of knowledge shared with other medical disciplines, such as internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, surgery, dermatology and urgent care. This training, knowledge and experience enables Family physicians to provide care that is specific to issues for men, women, children and seniors.

The family physicians of High Mountain Health are certified by the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Academy of Family Practice. In addition to being highly trained, they must re-certify more than any other medical specialty to ensure that they maintain their current knowledge and skill. A continuing medical education program means that our Family Physicians keep up to date on the latest medical treatments, therapies and technological advancements.

How We're Taking Healthcare to the Next Level
There is more than great healthcare at High Mountain Health. Our patients value us for many other practical reasons. We understand the daily routines, stresses and strains that influence our health. Busy commutes, long workhours, family responsibilities. When you need to see a doctor, the last thing you want to hear is that you have to wait for an appointment.

That's why we've committed to offering a new level of service that respects the needs of our patients. There are many ways we do this. Here are some of them.

• Our availability: We're open evenings and weekends, 364 days a year. And we offer patients a choice of office locations to visit. Click here for our hours and locations

• Our Physicians and Medical Staff: We offer a selection of doctors to suit your preference Click here to see our medical staff

• Our Range of Medical Services: In addition to routine medical care we offer the full range of Radiology services. When you visit our Radiology center in North Haledon, the results of your tests are provided to your High Mountain Health physician on the day of your test. This reduces the time you have to wait to learn the results of your testing. And we offer a complete Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine program. Here again, our Physical Therapy staff consults with your physician daily to ensure that your progress is monitored and evaluated.

• Our Electronic Medical Records: We have invested in a state-of-the-art system of electronic medical records. This allows our medical staff to review your patient file regardless of which office you visit. Our doctors even have access to your files at other locations, such as a hospital in case they need to see you there.

If you or a family member are looking for a new doctor, we would be pleased to have you as a new patient. Click here to Contact Us.
